As a changemaker, it's natural for you to see someone do something that you don't agree with and suddenly you're filled with righteous indignation. It's easy to label someone as 'bad' or 'ignorant' when we don't agree with their actions, but it's important to remember that everyone is complex and nuanced. Just because someone doesn't see eye-to-eye with us on an issue doesn't mean that they're a bad person. They could just be coming at the situation from a different perspective. And even if someone is genuinely acting in a way that we deem to be 'bad', it's important to remember that they're still a human being with their own life story and experiences. This exercise is designed to get better at recognising the humanity in others, even if they might not agree with us or our approach as changemakers. Only then can we truly start to make progress on the issues that matter to us.
