Out there are so many “self-help” books that seek to motivate you and inspire you to be a better person. What all these books promise – is that if you just adopt some simple principles: get up earlier, eat better, be more productive, then you can change your whole life. We long for change – but too often we’re deceived that real change comes easy. On Easter Sunday we remember that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead. What we must grasp is that the resurrection of Jesus not only gives us a glorious hope of eternal life, but is the engine room for real change.
This sermon was preached at Cross & Crown, Penang on 31st March 2024.
