If you went out on the streets and asked people what God might demand of his people, I wonder what answers you might receive? Jesus explains using Deuteronomy, what God demands is our love: total, undivided allegiance expressed in willing, wholehearted obedience. And so these chapters are absolutely foundational to understanding what it means to be the people of God, who truly love him.
