Many people think of humanity as inherently good. We believe that we have the ability to make both bad and good choices—and that, with the right decision, we can freely choose to follow Jesus. But is it really up to us? Are we capable of choosing God on our own, or does our salvation rest solely on God’s sovereign grace? This Sunday, we launch our series on Reformation theology by exploring the “T” in TULIP: Total Depravity. As we confront the stark truth of our fallen nature, we’ll discover an even greater appreciation for the depths of God’s sovereign grace in saving us.
