While she doesn’t like the word ally, and I get it, she is one with us. This woman has lived her life committed to making the world a safer place for LGBTQ people. Especially in the world of religion, where it is needed most. She is the best and earliest example of an ally I have ever known, in both the LGBTQ and BIPOC communities. She is also a mentor of mine, and a very dear friend. She is not someone that would usually go on camera or agree to a podcast.
