How do you pray for your children?
Prayer for protection and safety. - Hedge of protection.
- Psalm 17:8 ~ Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.
- Psalm 121:1-4 ~ I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven, and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
- Psalm 125:2 ~ As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore.
- Psalm 139:5 ~ You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.
- Job 1:10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.
Prayer for their Future
- Proverbs 22:6 ~ Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
- Luke 2:52 ~ And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
- Psalm 1:1-3 ~ Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.
Pray for your Childs Salvation
- 2 Peter 3:9 ~ The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
- Isaiah 26:3-4 ~ You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself is the Rock eternal.
- Philippians 1:6 ~ Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
