While none of us will do these things perfectly, there are five components that make our witness credible to others — Christ, competence, concern, character, and wise conversation.
1. Put on Christ - Put Christ on the table
- Gal 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ
- by recounting your weekend,
- describing a Bible study discussion that you are in,
- sharing how you pray for others - Praying for Ukraine
- Some put a scripture reference their signature
2. Have Competence - Work with excellence
- Do all things without grumbling or disputing - Phil. 2:14.
- Do it heartily as unto the Lord.
- Do a study on Skill or Skillful in the Bible (craftsmen, warriors, skilled the word, mason, iron worker, musicians, inventors, woodworkers)
3. Show Concern - Love your peers.
- Invest in friendships with non-Christians in your workplace.
- Go to lunch with the crew sometimes
- Participate in some celebrations (weddings, promotions, farewell, birthdays)
- Show generosity
4. Display Character - Honor the workplace rules
- Hard-working
- Honesty - Integrity
- Humility
- Honor
5. Wise Conversation - Be prepared for evangelism
- Know how to share the truth of the gospel
- We have broken God's commands and laws.
- Our relationship with God is broken
- Punishment for breaking the laws of God is Death.
- But God loved us and sent his son to take our place. He took my punishment.
- I believe Jesus took my place, Now I use my second chance at life a life that pleases God.
6. Conversation with God - Pray
- Pray for opportunities
- Pray for wisdom to navigate questions
- If you don't know the answer say I don't know that answer but I will do some research or ask a few friends and get back too you on that.
- Pray for strength to be a good witness
