The ol' "make the superhero dream they got their heart's desire" trick. I can't imagine why Bruce would want anyone else being Batman. If his parents were alive and he was Batman, that would be the best ever. Honestly, I want to write that story: Bruce would still have become Batman if his parents survived, and the story has him come to grips with that.
