Description

Phill Pallas is a social work lecturer and PhD candidate at the University of Newcastle.

He's currently doing research on the 'entanglements' between non-Indigenous social work programs in Indigenous community contexts. Phill shared with me his personal backstory that led him to this work, and more significantly the relationships and community he is now deeply embedded in. It's a powerful story that has impacted me personally along with many others.

Honestly, Phill is one of my favourite people on earth. It was a pleasure to interview him for this project and then write a poem about his story.
