Show notes:  Know the 4 Key Qualities of Mindset:  

Finding ways to practice these 4 elements will help you stay focus, empowered, inspired and motivated.

Awareness:  When you are more conscious of your thoughts without judgment, you can begin to understand how your thoughts impact how you feel and how you behave.  Try meditation, deep breathing, journaling.  Try the 8 second rule.  

Perspective: Its too easy to get stuck on what going wrong.  Instead transition your focus to what's going well and view setback as opportunities to learn and grow.  Try: Rejecting each day on 3 things you are grateful for- big and or small- Write them down.

Remember what matters to you: Your why is the reason you want to be healthier.  Keeping it in mind helps you connect it to the things that matter to you. This sets you on a path that gets you closer to your goals each day.  Write down your WHY, Tell someone and make keep it some where that you can see it often.  

Self compassion:  We must practice self compassion along the way.  No one is perfect.  Change is hard.  There will be setbacks.  Create some awareness around how you talk to yourself when setbacks occur.  How would you talk to a friend?  TRY:  Retrain your brain- be kind to yourself when things don't go as planned.  Focus on what your body can do vs what it looks like.  Step 1- be aware of critical thought Example:  I hate my flabby arms... now Step 2:  Focus on what your arms actually do for you:  My arms help me carry things and give hugs.   Step 3:  Affirm them, take a moment to appreciate them:  My arms are important because they help me take care of my child.
