On 7 February 2022, footage emerged of West Ham United's French international defender, Kurt Zouma, kicking and slapping his cat, filmed at his home by his brother. He was condemned by both his club and RSPCA and has since apologized. Sponsors, both the club's and the player's, started pulling out. He was then fined by the club with the money being donated to animal welfare charities. Is that enough though? Should he be imprisoned?
