Eddie & The Cruisers - A 1983 film directed by Martin Davidson. Starring Tom Berenger, Michael Paré, Joe Pantoliano, Matthew Laurance, Helen Schneider, David Wilson, Michael "Tunes" Antunes, Ellen Barkin, and Joanne Collins. A television newswoman picks up the story of a 1960s rock band whose long-lost lead singer - Eddie Wilson - may still be alive, while searching for the missing tapes of the band's never-released album.
Eddie and the Cruisers II: Eddie Lives! - is the 1989 sequel to the 1983 film Eddie & the Cruisers, and despite being a failure at the box office, has since joined its predecessor as a cult favorite. It is directed by Jean-Claude Lord. Michael Paré and Matthew Laurance reprise their roles as Eddie Wilson and Sal Amato. In this movie, a Montreal construction worker joins a band and turns out to be a long-lost rock star from 1960’s New Jersey, Eddie Wilson, who mysteriously disappeared after a road accident.
