Description

Airdrie Minor Hockey Association (AMHA) female peewee A coach Trevor Simpson is happy to be a part of coaching girls like his daughter, Silas, for the last four years.

I (Britton Ledingham) also interviewed Tara Huck, female director for the AMHA.

Huck is one of many volunteers, coaches and parents working to make the sport a success among girls.

Thirdly, I chat with Jasmine Rai, a 14-year-old player who followed her younger brother into hockey about five years ago and is now whipping his butt.

You’ll hear my 3-and-a-half-year-old son, Ari, chatting in the background in these interviews. Sorry, not sorry. It’s just the way the timing went, and we tag teamed the phone interviews.

This is the airdrielife podcast where we take you beyond the pages of airdrielife magazine.

Our goal is to share stories with locals in and around Airdrie about extraordinary people who call this city home. Myself and my journalist colleagues meet all kinds of fun, interesting people we get to write about. This podcast is an exclusive opportunity where you can learn more about your fantastic neighbours.
