The biggest parallels drawn from this exploration into spiritual advancement leading to Ascension,was the absolute need to remain humble and in awe of the magnificence of the creative forces, knowing that spiritual energy works through you not from you.
Mateo said that he helps others advance on the path by using healing energies, plant medicine, listening, sitting through the dark shadow experiences, teaching and sharing knowledge gleaned through experience as well as offering basic physical support.
This ties in with the teachings of The Aetherius Society:

We also discussed the different types of healing. Mateo works as a Shamanic Healer.
Some healers work super-consciously.
They are not aware of exactly what they are doing in the same way, or how they are doing it, but they know that praying to God, for example, gives them a certain power.
When they pray with the right motive of helping others, they make a demand for energy from the universal supply. This energy is given to them so that they can transmit these energies into the body of their patient.
