Because beer and beverages are naturally heavy and temp-sensitive, it takes a lot of energy to move and store the stuff. That's why beer industry veteran Molly Reilly started Double Green, a consultancy that helps members of all three tiers achieve their sustainability goals -- while saving them money.  

In fact, the NBWA just contracted with Molly to create a sustainability toolkit (along with carbon calculator) for distributors to assess their needs.
