The kingdom of Magadha was once ruled by Maharaj Nanda. He organized a yajna. Acharya Chanakya also reached this yagya and sat down on a seat in the court. Seeing him sitting on the seat, Maharaj Nand insulted him and asked him to leave. On this Chanakya said that man is above his qualities, not by sitting on a high seat. However, Acharya Chanakya felt so bad about Maharaj Nanda that on the strength of his policies, he not only avenged the insult by removing Nanda from power but also made a simple child Chandragupta the emperor of India.
