In this episode we chat with Dr. Danelle Dickson, a Physical Therapist who owns Performance Plus Physical Therapy. Dee talks about how seeking out a Physical Therapist after a dance injury inspired her to become a PT. She currently owns a cash-based PT clinic that focuses on orthopedic and performance arts injuries. Dee chats about what a typical week looks like for her as a PT and clinic owner. She talks about her experiences during DPT school and gives advice for creating your own opportunities during school. She compares her performing arts clinic rotation to her other more “typical” clinical rotations. Dee elaborates on what she does as a Physical Therapist behind the scenes during a performance. She wraps up the episode with advice for current DPT students.
