Mike Hull has been employed by Chip Ganassi Racing for over 30 years. During that time he’s had a very successful relationship as the strategist for six-time NTT IndyCar Series champion - Scott Dixon. We caught up with him at the 2023 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach as he was walking back to his hotel after a long day at the track. He was gracious enough to give us some time where he talks about the quality of his driver, figuring out strategy based on data versus experience, and what makes his team so successful.

NOTE: Scott Dixon started his 319th consecutive NTT IndyCar Series race on August 11, 2023 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course where he earned his 54th race win and extended his streak of winning at least one race for 19 consecutive seasons. Mike Hull was on the pit box calling the strategy that saw Dixon go from getting hit from behind in Turn 7 on lap one, spin out to last place, then come back and score that remarkable victory.
