Description

Oriol Servia is a familiar face in the NTT IndyCar Series paddock. After winning the 1999 CART Indy Lights championship, he went on to race for a number of Indy car teams, including Newman-Haas, where he scored a win in Montreal and finished runner-up in the championship to teammate and four-time champ Sebastian Bourdais. Servia has raced in Formula E and currently drives the pace car during Indy car weekends. He’s one of the few drivers in the paddock with a mechanical engineering degree and has used that knowledge to his advantage over the years. We caught up with him at the press day for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach this year where he was nice enough to spend some time with us. He’s not done racing yet as you’ll hear in this interview. Enjoy!
