Owen Snyder is the mechanical manufacturing and car assembly supervisor for Dallara (the chassis supplier to the NTT IndyCar Series). He also does race track support. Prior to joining Dallara, he worked for a number of different racing teams and organizations as well as with some great racing drivers. Two Indianapolis 500 victories are just part of what he’s experienced first-hand. In this interview (conducted in the technical inspection area of the 2023 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach), he shares some of those experiences with us, and the behind-the-scenes aspects of who and how they made it happen. A true legend of the sport of Indy car racing and one of the most humble and forthright people you’ll ever want to meet. Enjoy!
