Description

Julia Gregory joins us for this week's episode, focusing on how she has reported on the Grenfell Tower over the past five years. Julia is a Local Democracy Reporter based in London and she began to work in Kensington and Chelsea, the borough of Grenfell Tower, in 2018, one year after the fire. Since then she has become part of the tight-knit community, giving those affected by the fire a voice through her many published articles on the disaster.

During the talk, conducted by University of Northampton journalism tutor Kate Ironside, Julia touches on how to interview and work with those affected by disasters and how to look after yourself as a journalist working on such a devastating topic. This week's episode is hosted by Will Dyer and Sam Clark.
