Throughout the gospel of John - Jesus makes 7 “I AM” Statements. The are controversial, they are exclusive and they can only be made by the Son of God. This week we launch into the series by looking at Jesus statement to the crowd - “I am the bread of life.” He had just fed the 5000 by the lake and the crowd follow him to get more food. Instead of food - Jesus offers them bread that is eternally satisfying - himself.
