Welcome back to Rough Edges!
Trigger warning: this episode contains mentions of suicidal ideation.
In this week’s episode, Sarah is joined by special guest, Carlo Taormina. Carlo from Richmond, VA, fell into a deep depression and even had suicidal ideation toward the end of 2020 and the majority of 2021. He turned his life around and is now a coach that helps others achieve the breakthrough he had for himself through his experiences.
Join him and Sarah as they discuss how the 2000 film, Cast Away portrays mental health, the importance of community, and determination. Carlo also shares his experience with depression and suicidal ideation and how perseverance helped him overcome past trauma.
