As Memorial Day approaches, we pause to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. It’s a time for deep reflection on the sacrifices made by men and women who died defending the freedoms we so often take for granted.
What inspires someone to lay down their life in service? While the answer is personal to each individual, common threads often include:
- Love of country and patriotism
- A sense of duty and higher purpose
- A commitment to values like freedom and liberty
- A desire to protect others
- A family legacy of service
We not only honor those who paid the ultimate price for our nation, but also those who endure hardship and sacrifice for the sake of the gospel.
Explore the power of living for something greater than ourselves—and the freedom that comes from following Christ.
