Fellowship

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.

Philippians 2:5

40 Days of Deliverance:

Moses was in Egypt for 40 years, then he went to the desert for 40 years. It took him 80 years to do the Father’s will the right way. He went back to Egypt and demanded that Pharaoh let the Israelites go (they were slaves in Egypt). After they are free, the Israelites go out into the desert and begin traveling back to the land God promised them. It took another 40 years to enter the Promised Land. In the New Testament, Jesus was in the desert for 40 days as well and was on the earth for 40 days after his resurrection. The number 40 occurs in many places in the Bible, but these are some examples of where the number has significant meaning in God’s Word.

The first session of 40 Days of Deliverance was birthed on July 1, 2021. The program guide in a pamphlet given to each member reads as follows:

It is with great pleasure to welcome you as you embark on a challenge that will help you as an individual. These next 40 Days will provide an opportunity for you to reflect, reset, and restore your life. The areas that we will focus on are our mind, body, and spirit. You will use proven strategies joined with discipline and obedience to help build structure and guidance during this journey. All of us will have an accountability partner and each other for support during these next 40 days.

I ask that each one of you use this pamphlet as a way to be intentional in keeping the daily disciplines. Also, please journal each day or week as to what you are learning about yourself. Keep seeking the Lord and ask Him for guidance as to your mission, vision, and goals that HE has in store for you. All of you have been given gifts from above; it’s now a matter of how you use them to give Him glory each day.

Action Steps:

● Wake up and pray.

● Read the Bible each day to understand how to have meaningful relationships.

● Join a group or a program to meet new people.

● Have an accountability partner to help you become disciplined.

● Sacrifice your needs for your spouse.

● Love, be patient, and trust.

● Create a circle of five or more people who push you to be better.
