We'll look into the life of Peter in this episode. Have you ever experienced God in a powerful and tangible way? If you have, it was from the place of your spirit. Jesus directly asked Peter, who do you say that I am? Jesus said the answer that Perter gave was revealed through the spirit and not from the flesh.
When Peter had this experience He was given a new name from Jesus. His name was Simon before answering this question, and as we have experienced, we discover our new identity that Christ has given us through what He's done on the cross.
When we are given a new identity, it doesn't mean that we won't have gaps in our growth and maturity, but we're given a new sense of strength through His power and identity! Now our life is about discovering more of who Christ is, and responding to the new that He is creating in us and leading us into.
