A consumer Christian mentality says, "To die is Christ, and to live is gain." Our flesh desires to live comfortably with happiness, fulfillment, and self-actualization. What Paul tells the Philippians is actually, the opposite... To live is Christ. We do this by imaging and reflecting the life of Jesus in our lives; by cutting ties with the false notion that God's highest value for us is our worldly happiness and satisfaction
