In this episode we mix up a "Night Cap" from www.liquor.com and then discuss a couple of parent problems. The first is a slobbish mom and a daughter who isn't sure how to address it and then a woman who after 7 months still hasn't met her boyfriends parents!
2 ounces Goslings Gold Seal rum (we used Kirkland spiced)
2 ounces cold brew-coffee
1/2 ounce grade A maple syrup
Zest of 1 orange
1 dash Angostura bitters
San Pellegrino tonic water, to top
Garnish: orange peel
Add the rum, cold-brew, maple syrup, orange zest and bitters to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
Strain into a highball glass over large ice cubes.
Top with the tonic and stir gently.
Garnish with an orange peel.
*Use your favorite bottled cold-brew coffee or make some yourself by soaking 140 grams ground coffee beans in a coffee filter with 32 ounces water for 12 hours. After steeping, remove the grounds by straining through a coffee filter.
