Rather than allow the learner’s mindset to be quenched by our content and standards-based system the authors argue that we need to nurture this natural human capacity that all of our children are born with. The way to preserve this intrinsic ability is to give create significant learning environments in which we give our learners choice, ownership, and voice through authentic learning opportunities.
