It's the end of the year - what are you celebrating?
Celebration has its place in our daily lives - no matter if we received a medal or not.
I hear you, high achievers: "Yeah but I can't be happy when things are not done."
I hear ya.
The thing is, when we stay in a mindset of: "I'll be happy when...." we set ourselves up for NEVER being happy because the "when" part is always moving.
Can you relate?
When we retrain our brain to notice the positive and the progress, we can feel satisfaction daily, knowing that we are making constant progress toward our goals.
And, it also retrains the brain to stop identifying threats everywhere - those threats that add unnecessary stress to our day-to-day.
So how do you do that?
I am spilling the beans in this episode of the Podcast with two segments:
π₯ Build The Basement Before The Roof:
There are two gaps you can focus on to sustainably make progress (while keeping your joy) - even if most high achievers only focus on one of them. Balance your focus on both!
π₯Tool Box:
How do you retrain your brain to notice and celebrate the progress?
This powerful daily exercise will help you ditch the default negative interpretations you give to everyday events.
Anybody said more joy and less stress? π
