The Advocacy Podcast is a passionate group of young people with lived experience of a disability. The group is working towards becoming the voices for young people to fully participate within their chosen community and discuss the barriers that those with a disability face and advocate on these issues.
For episode 1 we sit down with group member Jedd Manton. Jeddy has a mild intellectual disability. Due to autism as well as ADHD, he struggles to stay focused on the one thing. This doesn’t stop him with anything!
He loves travelling, all things sport, in particular football & cricket where he is involved with multiple clubs. He is also a star on the podcast front, where he has his own podcast @jeddzpodcast. He will be the leader and point of call in this groups podcast.
Jeddy has big long term goals. He would love to improve his health both physically and mentally, all whilst looking forward to completing his VCAL schooling’ in the next few months. Following this he would love to find some part time work.
