How do we know that “[Delilah]” was a Black woman – and how can we prove it through Scripture? Scripture tells us that Delilah’s nationality was Philistine. The Nation of Philistines descended from the lineage of “[Ham]” (dark-skinned) son of “[Noah].”
Ham is the progenitor of all “Dark-skinned People” on the earth today!
“[Ham]” had “4” sons: “Cush,” “Mizraim,” “Put,” and “Canaan.”
(Gen.10:6).
According to the Bible, the “[Nation of Philistine]” descended from Ham’s son “[Mizraim],” (Gen.10:13-14; 20).
So, we know that “[Delilah]” was a Black woman because Scripture tells us that Delilah was a “[Philistine]!” (Judges.16:4-5).
But unlike most women in the Bible, “Delilah” was a “Dishonorable woman!” But from the story of Samson and Delilah, we also gather great wisdom. Therefore, we also include her story - because it is part of Black spiritual history.
