_According to Scripture, Elizabeth descended from the “Tribe of Levi,”
(Lk.1:5); Israel’s Priestly tribe.
This means that Elizabeth carried the “Tan” Middle Eastern
complexion,” (as all of Shem’s descendants)!
My aim in giving the background of ppl in the Bible is to present the “Gospel”
in the true light of what it is; that we might visualize any given character as
to what they could have really looked like, and not continue to be misled and
brainwashed into believing false pics of them.
Elizabeth was married to a priest named “Zacharias.” Scripture tells us that Zacharias and Elizabeth
walked blamelessly in all the “Commandments” and “Ordinances”
of the Lord, (Lk.1:5-6).
But Elizabeth was “[Barren],” and could not bear her husband a
child (even though they prayed) that Elizabeth would become pregnant during
their youthful days.
