Esau – Esau was the twin brother who sold his birthright for
a morsel food.
He did not honor his position as firstborn of
the twins of “Rebekah and Isaac.”
Therefore, he lost his spiritual and material inheritance of his Father, Isaac.
Instead, that blessing went to his brother, Jacob.
Although Jacob tricked his father (Isaac)
into giving him Esau’s blessing on
his death bed, God disliked what Esau had done by not honoring his “birthright
position” even more! (Gen.25:29-34).
Scripture describes “Esau” as
being “hairy” and “Red,”
(Gen.25:24). To get an idea of what Esau
could have looked like, Scripture tells us that “Rebekah”
(his mother) was Syrian
(Gen.25:20).
Apparently, Jacob and Esau were fraternal twins
(they did not look alike). I surmise
that Esau carried some of the “DNA”
traces of Noah (Black man), but Jacob did not. I draw this
conclusion due to Esau marrying “2” Hittite women.
Hittites were descendants of Ham. It is natural to gravitate toward those who
look like ourselves.
“When “[Esau]” was “40” years old, - he took as
“[Wives]” “[Judith],” the daughter of Beeri, the “[Hittite] – and “[Basemath],”
the daughter of Elon, the “[Hittite],” (Gen.26:34).
Research:
Research tells us that the Hittites were descendants of Ham,
one of Noah's sons. The Hittites rose to great power and prosperity
during the 14th to the 11th centuries and became the powerful Hatti Empire.
Esau was also known as Edom, the progenitor of the
Edomites who were established on the “South” of the Israelites. They
were an ancient “Enemy” nation of Israel.
Their enemies were also Egypt, the Assyrians and the
unnamed Sea Peoples who invaded them from the Mediterranean Sea.
Esau’s descendants would have
been people of darker tan skin color.
