“[Hagar]” was a descendant of “Ham” (Noah’s dark-skinned son); an Egyptian. Hagar was also the servant girl of Sarah (Abraham’s wife); Gen.16:1-2.
Both Abraham, and Sarah were descendants of Noah’s son, “[Shem],” (Middle-Eastern “Tan” complexion), (Gen.11:10-32). Abraham and Sarah were also siblings– they shared the same father, but different mothers (Gen.20:12)
When Sarah realized that she was “[barren]” and not able to produce an heir for her husband, she arranged for “[Hagar]” to bear her husband a son, (Gen.16:11-15).
