“HAPPY THANKSGIVING” (WORLDWIDE)
1. United States established “Thanksgiving
Day” as a national holiday in (1941) – that its citizens may take out the time to “rest” from labor – that we may “Thank God” for all the blessings He has given us.
2. Traditionally, family and friends gather together to break bread together (best meal we can prepare for the occasion),
and we fellowship, and enjoying each other’s company.
3. It is a time the whole family join together in “Prayer” to Thank God for His many blessings: the food on our table; - Shelter over our heads; - our health; and “Life” itself!
4. There is a biblical precedence for the holiday: Godestablished it with Israel under the “OT”
“And you shall spend that “[Money]” for whatever your “[Heart
Desires]” (for oxen, or sheep), …
For “[Wine],” or “[Similar drink],” for whatever your “[Heart
Desires],” – you shall “[Eat]” there before the “[Lord, your God]!”
You shall “[Rejoice]” – you and your “[Household]!”
(Deut.14:26).
