“JESUS” AND (CHRISTMAS)”
1. There is the secular aspect of “[Christmas]” – and there is the “[Spiritual]” side of Christmas – which is solely about our “Lord and Savior,” “[Jesus Christ]!”
2. Our “[Heavenly Father]” promised to send a “[Savior]” into the world during Old Testament era – some “700” years before Jesus was born. It was through the Prophet, “[Isaiah],” predicting that the Savior would come into the world through a miracle “[Virgin woman]! (Isa.7:14).
3. Then “[Isaiah]” went on to tell us that this “[Prophesied One],” would have the government upon His shoulders. “[Isaiah],” also tells us that the “[Predicted One]” will be called “[Wonderful]!” – “[Counselor],” – “[Mighty God],” “[Everlasting Father],” “[Prince of Peace],” (Isa.9:6).
4. Now, some think these names should only be attributed to “[God, the Father].” But when we cross-reference “OT” Scripture with “NT” (after Jesus fulfilled all of the predictions made by the prophets of the Father), this puts God’s Son on “Equal Status],” with his “[Father]!” Here’s what God says about His Son “[Jesus]” (after suffering the “[Cross],” and subsequent “[Death]!”
5. “Let this “[Mind]” be in “[you]” which was also in “[Christ Jesus]!” – who being in the “[Form of God],” – did not consider it “[Robbery]” to be “[Equal with God]!”- Therefore, “[God]” has “[Highly Exalted Him]!” – and given him the “[Name]” which is “[Above]” every name – that at the name of “[Jesus]” every “[knee shall bow],” – of those in “[Heaven],” and of those on the “[Earth]! – and those “[Under the earth]!” – and that “[Every tongue]” should “[Confess]” that “[Jesus Christ]” is “[Lord],” to the “[Glory]” of “[God, the Father]!” (Phil 2:9).
6. And there are “[Three]” who bear “[Witness]” in “[Heaven]” – the “[Father],” – the “[Holy spirit],” – and the “[Word]!” - and these three are “[One]!” (1 Jh.5:7).
7. So, this is the “[Real Reason for the season of Christmas]” and we must hold on to this “[Jesus]!” - We should not be swayed to see “[Jesus]” in any other way!
8. That would be “[Satan’s]” greatest joy (to minimize Jesus to being a Teacher, Prophet, and just a good man]! - Nothing would please Satan more!
9. Scripture tells us that had Satan known that God would “[Elevate]” Jesus “[Equal with Himself],” – he would “[never]” have schemed and lied about “[Jesus]” to have him “[Crucified]! Had he known that by killing Jesus, he would have to give up the greatest power he had, “[The power over Death],” (1 Cor.2:7-8). Surely, Satan would not have gone to all that work – that would render himself powerless (Heb.2:14).
10. So, while we celebrate Christmas, and “[Coming together]” with family and friends for the holiday, - let us not “[Forget]” Jesus – the “[Real Jesus]” - and the “[True purpose of Christmas]!” – which is the celebration of “[Christ, our Lord]!”
