Joseph - was the favorite son of Jacob. Joseph falls in line as the “11th”
son of Jacob – of the “12” Tribes of Israel. Joseph established the “Tribe of
Joseph” – of those “12” Tribes.
Joseph became the favorite son because
Jacob “Loved” Rachel, his mother above all of his other “3”
wives. But Rachel was barren
(unable to conceive) for many years. But
God saw her sadness, and he Rachel’s womb to bear children. So, Joseph’s birth was very special to
Jacob.
Therefore,
by Jacob showing favor to Joseph, this arousedextreme
“Jealousy” of his brothers. So
much so, they plotted a scheme to get rid of Joseph when he was only “17”
years old (Gen.37).
The
Plot: They all went out hunting, and while
in the wilderness, some Egyptians were passing through the land. So, they came up with a plan to
“Sell” Joseph as a “Slave” to the Egyptian travelers.
After many trials
and tribulations, (Joseph) became the “[Governor]” of Egypt
– (only second in command to the Pharoah/King (Gen.41:38-40).
Therefore, Joseph
spent his entire adult life in Egypt with Black people – because Joseph
was “30” yrs. old when he became Governor. It was a high honor for the Pharoah to
select a wife for his servants.
Therefore, he gave as a wife to Joseph, the daughter of an
African Priest. Therefore, Joseph
married an “[African/Egyptian]” woman by the name of “[Asenath]” who
bore Joseph’s only “2” sons “[Manasseh]” and “[Ephraim]
(Gen.41:38-52).
So, we see
that the “12” Tribes of Israel was a well-mixed nation: Moses married and Ethiopian
woman (Num.12:1) – Judah married a Canaanite woman (Gen.38:2) - Esau
married “2” Hittite women of Canaan (Gen.36:2). and Joseph married an African/Egyptian
woman (Gen.41:45).
These were
all Black women who married Hebrew men of Israel. “Egypt” is North Africa! During Ancient Days, Egypt was
referred in Scripture as the Land of (Ham) because it was Ham’s
dark-skinned descendants who owned and lived in the land at
that time.

(Ps.105:23).
They
forgot their “[God]” – their Savior – who had done great things in “[Egypt]!” –
wondrous works in the land of “[Ham]! (Ps.106:21-22).
“And “[destroyed]”
all the “[Firstborn]” in “[Egypt]” – the first of their strength in the “[Tents]”
of “[Ham]!” (Ps.78:51).
