Description

There are “2” popular women in the Bible by the name “Tamar.” Both are Black women, and both suffered under the curse of “Eve” (men Ruling over them (Gen.3:16).

But this “Tamar’s” story is quite different than king David’s daughter’s tragic story of Rape.

This Tamar is clever, and manipulative! She did not come from “Royalty” as the other Tamar– therefore, she learned how to survive in this male-dominated era.

So, how do we know that this Tamar was a Black woman? Because she was a Canaanite! Canaanites are the direct descendants of“[Ham],” (Noah’ dark-skin son).

Ham named one of his “4” sons“Canaan” – and the region where his descendants lived took on his name. They are referred to in Scripture as “Canaanites!” (Gen.10:6).

And “Tamar” lived in the region of Canaan. So, we know that this Tamar was a Black woman.
