“WHO,” OR “WHAT” IS THE “(HOLY SPIRIT)?”
1. “Jesus” refers to the “[Holy Spirit]” as “[He]!” (Jh.14:6).
2. The “[Holy Spirit]” has “[Intelligence] – He knows the “[Deep things of God],” (Jh.14:16).
3. The “[Holy Spirit]” makes decisions. Ex: He gives “Gifts” to the Lord’s people, “Distributing to each one “[Individually]” as He wills,” (1 Cor. 12:11).
4. The “[Holy Spirit]” has emotions. He feels “[Love],” (Rom.15:30). He feels “[Grief]” – “Do not “grieve” the Holy Spirit,” (Eph. 4:30).
5. The “[Holy Spirit]” speaks – Ex: He is “Speaking” when he says, “Hear” what the “Spirit” says to the churches – as He lays out their spiritual shortcomings, (Rev.2:7).
6. The “Holy Spirit” “[Teaches],” and “[Guides]” Believers into all “[Truth]!” (Jh.15:13).
7. The Spirit “[Empowers],” Believers to “[Boldly]” testify about our “[Lord Jesus],” and tells of the wonderful things the Lord has done for us, and the “Impact” He has had on our lives – Scripture tells us this “[Testifying]” about “Jesus” will be ongoing until the “[End of the earth],” (Acts 1:8).
8. The “[Holy Spirit]” “[Intercedes]” for us in prayer (Rom.8:26). Sometimes we are so heavily burdened, and “[Weighed down]” by life’s issues: (illness, finances, wayward children), we cannot pray, or at least, don’t what words we should use in our prayers – therefore, God has provided Believers with “[Help]!” – the “[Holy Spirit]” intercedes for us, and speak to our “[Heavenly Father]” on our behalf – that is why the Holy Spirit is referred to in Scripture as our “[Helper]” (Jh.14:16).
9. The “[Holy Spirit]” is also referred to in the Bible as “[God]!” – the “[Third Person]” of the “[Eternal Trinity],” (with the Father, and the Son), (1 Jh.5:7).
10. Therefore, the “[Holy Spirit]” appears as “[Equal]” with the “Father” and the “Son” in the command for “[Baptism]!”- Scripture tells us, we should “Baptize” in the name of the “[Father],” the “[Son],” and the “[Holy Spirit]!” (Matt.28:19).
11. The main function of the “[Holy Spirit]” is to point us to “[Jesus]” – that “He” will be “[Glorified]! (Jh.16:14).
12. The “[Holy Spirit]” is given to every person who sincerely “[Repents]” and are willing to submit their wills under the authority of “[Jesus Christ]!”
