For Season 11 of The Millennial Pastor Podcast our guest host is Megan Pittman. This season, we are exploring worship, the arts, and how they impact our interaction with both God and the Church. We are excited to share conversations with all kinds of leaders, artists, pastors, and creatives who share their stories and how art has played an “instrumental” role in their faith expression.
Today’s guest is Bethany Barr Phillips from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In our conversation, she voiced how music helps us honor God and see where God is at work even in times of difficulty. Bethany is a worship leader with over 17 years of experience and works as a full-time itinerant worship leader/speaker, traveling across the U.S. She also has the joy of serving on the worship staff at her local church, Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, AL. She has released 3 full length records, has authored two devotional books and is one of the founding members of Women In Worship, an organization that exists to encourage and empower women in worship ministry.
