Jesus gave a parable about 5 foolish virgins and 5 wise virgins; how
they were shut out when the bridegroom returned. This has been commonly understood to be speaking of the return of Christ.
But this is about the Kingdom of Heaven, not the Kingdom of God. And not about believers being left at the rapture.
