How much do you know about one of the greatest Americans? Frederick Douglass was born a slave and died a statesman. His journey to freedom and his work toward the freedom of others is a story of incredible courage, determination, and grit. It is also an American story that must never be forgotten. 

The Sons of History discuss this incredible man with educator and historian John W. McCaskill.  He is an educator at the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site in Washington D.C. with the National Parks Service.
