“Are you gay?” My wife asked me. Little did she know, I had a secret. My secret was the inner vow I had made to make sure I never got hurt by a woman again. An inner vow is a promise we make to ourselves to control our suffering. When we get hurt, we sometimes think of forgiving the one who hurt us, but often forget to consider what we have decided to do to make sure we never get hurt like that again. In this episode, we consider some of our hurts, and the promises we have made to ourselves to make sure we never get hurt like this again.
