In this very special episode, the guys discuss the one and only System of a Down. But first, the dudes banter about the joys of staying inside when it rains, the advantages of room darkening shades, showing up to work early, and the shocking, horrible realization that Tony is not a Simpson's superfan, but a Big Bang Theory superfan.
The discussion then turns to the topic at hand which is the band System of a down. The guys then break down the Armenian roots of the band and the band's understandable passion for their heritage and the tragedy of the Armenian Genocide. They only go through the first two albums, but they touch on the impact those two albums had on not only the metal scene, but the music scene at large. They go through the early days, and the TRL days, and the obscurity in the later years. John later goes on a small rant about how he hates the band Sublime and then talk about the effect SOAD had on the music community as a whole.
