19 year old J'Voughnn Blake Captain of Jamaica College's track team , Gold medallist at both the 800m and 1500m at the 2022 Issa/Grace Kennedy Boy's Championships and the Carifta Games heads to Ivy League Dartmouth College in the United States.
His passion for the sciences which started at an early age and his desire to find a cure for cancer has motivated him him to pursue a degree in Molecular Biology.
J'voughnn describes the process of choosing which offer to accept as" overwhelming" as he had received several offers from other Ivy League universities.
He shares how he was able to to attain 13 CSEC subjects and 6 CAPE subjects all with distinctions while still breaking records as a track athlete.
Hailing from the innercity of Waterhouse, J'voughnn has demonstrated that choice and not circumstances determines one's success.
