The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed mental health into the spotlight. We see the headlines 'Mental Health Crisis' as the world struggles to cope with the effects of lockdowns and curfews. Studies on the mental health impact of the pandemic revealed a high prevalence of stress, anxiety, depression, and grief which has been taking a heavy toll on the mental health of our youths.
It was against this backdrop that Nowell Lewin, a student at Central High School in Clarendon started an initiative called the Global integration Society to address and raise public awareness to mental health issues.
