Immaculate Conception High School 6th former and Deputy Head Girl Zariah Ferguson heads to Harvard University on a full ride scholarship. Harvard's offer came as a surprise to her as this was also in a year where the acceptance rate has been the lowest in Harvard's history.
She has worked hard for this starting from her early years at Dunrobin High School where she was the top performer in the GSAT exams . Her academic success continued when she passed 10 subjects in the CSEC Examinations and 5 subjects at the CAPE level, all at Grade ones and during a pandemic.
Her love for Calculus, Physics, Chemistry and Biology has strengthened her decision pursue a degree in Biomedical Engineering.
Coming from humble beginnings, Zaria's motivation is to be an example to other young people to show them that it is possible to achieve all she has and that they can do it too.
