Chapter 25 Introduction
Section a. Recapitulation: Metaphysics as Comprehensive Knowledge
Starting with a brief summary of the formation of Christian Philosophy and the role metaphysics plays within it, we now look to the more specific topic of the metaphysics of man. An important distinction:
i) material object: subject matter, ie all that is real
ii) formal object: the light of the intelligence in which the material object is studied, ie the metaphysical outlook
Metaphysics as a science and its branches:
