"Deloading" is a common term used within the fitness industry to describe a period of time where volume and/or intensity of your workout is decreased.
Placing your body into a deload period allows the muscles within your body to enter a state of recovery. Post-recovery, your muscles are primed and ready to show up to your next workout in a state that allows for increased muscle growth and heavier lifting.
The same concept could apply to your mind.
In this episode, deloading and why it is important for those following a consistent workout regimen is discussed.
Deloading as a broad concept is also discussed in terms of consciousness and awareness of self.
Our mind is a muscle that is unconsciously exercised like we would exercise our bicep during a bicep curl.
